Who we are

Augmen is a trading brand of Wayne Cutajar Johnston, a sole trader based in Malta and the operator responsible for this website. For anything related to this policy or your personal data, reach us through the contact page at augmen.mt/contact, or by phone on +356 7939 2245.

What we collect

The only personal data this website collects by default is what you choose to send us through the contact form: your name, email address, message, and - optionally - your phone number, the service you are interested in and the website package selected, where applicable.

If you accept analytics cookies and arrive through a tagged advertising link, we may attach a limited campaign record to your enquiry: the landing-page path and UTM campaign labels from that link. If you separately accept ad measurement, this record may also contain the validated Google click identifier from the link so that Google can attribute a genuine enquiry to the ad click. We do not store a full query string, referrer path, form content or advertising profile in this record.

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how people use the site. Ad measurement is a separate optional choice. It helps us measure whether an ad generated an enquiry; it does not enable advertising personalisation. See the cookies section below.

How your data is used

Form submissions are stored securely on our server before we acknowledge receipt. We deliver them to our inbox using Amazon Simple Email Service (SES). Website package enquiries are also recorded in our enquiry management system. We use your details to respond to your enquiry and, if you engage us, carry on that conversation. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.

The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering messages sent to us (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f)).

We never sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to handle them and any engagement that follows. Delivery records remain while delivery is pending or needs investigation. Once completed, stored delivery copies can be removed under our retention procedure while an opaque reference is retained to prevent duplicate processing. Enquiries may also remain in our correspondence and enquiry management system. You can ask us to delete your personal data.

Cookies and local storage

Nothing non-essential loads until you make a choice. Reject all means the Google script is not requested, no Google cookie is set and no request reaches Google. Analytics only enables Google Analytics. Accept both additionally enables limited Google Ads conversion measurement. Advertising personalisation remains disabled in every case.

Essential storage, which needs no consent: one sessionStorage flag that stops the loading animation replaying within the same browser session, one localStorage entry recording your cookie choice so we do not ask again, and a sessionStorage enquiry reference and one-way fingerprint used to safely retry a submission. This retry storage does not contain the form text, contact details, or marketing attribution.

If you accept Analytics, Google Analytics 4 sets its own cookies (_ga and _ga_*, typically lasting up to two years) to count visits and pages. If you accept ad measurement too, Google may set conversion-measurement cookies (_gcl_*). Page addresses exclude query strings and fragments, except for a validated Google click identifier when you chose ad measurement; referrers are limited to their origin. Form contents are not sent as analytics events. Google Ireland Limited is the processor.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. Withdrawing is one click. We update Google consent signals and remove known Analytics or conversion-measurement cookies that this site can access.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export the personal data we hold about you, and you can object to our processing of it. Send the request through augmen.mt/contact and we will act on it.

If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC), Malta's supervisory authority (idpc.org.mt).
